A lunar eclipse works a little differently to a solar eclipse. This time the Earth blocks the majority of sunlight from reaching the Moon. Many students have seen our moon go ‘pink’ which really is the corona of the Sun being refracted by our Earth’s atmosphere and then bouncing off the moon during a lunar . This is a great resource for teaching Earth Science and the concepts of Solar and Lunar Eclipses. The illustrations make understanding easy for students as they take detailed notes about the topics. NASA has released a new book for visually impaired people to experience the wonders of the moon. Called "Getting a Feel for Lunar Craters," the page book features Braille and tactile diagrams of the lunar surface, craters and peaks. The book was created and funded by NASA's Lunar Science Institute (NLSI), at Moffett Field, Calif. The Moon and its Phases This Science quiz is called 'The Moon and its Phases' and it has been written by teachers to help you if you are studying the subject at middle school. Playing educational quizzes is a fabulous way to learn if you are in the 6th, 7th or 8th grade - aged 11 to

Selenography is the study of the surface and physical features of the Moon. Historically, the principal concern of selenographists was the mapping and naming of the lunar maria, craters, mountain ranges, and other various features. This task was largely finished when high resolution images of the near and far sides of the Moon were obtained by orbiting spacecraft during the early space era.

Nevertheless. A Kite for Moon by Jane Yolen and Heidi Stemple and illustrated by Matt Phelan. Zonderkidz, Like Music for Mister Moon, A Kite for Moon looks at the moon through the eyes of a child who imagines the moon is his friend.

This time, though, the boy sends a kite to the moon, studies the moon, and grows up to go to the moon. A gentle picture book for the youngest children while the older ones.
